Annual King of Jewels Conference

The King of Jewels Men’s Youth Conference is a leadership conference for young men of color between the ages of 14 – 18.

The multi-day conference consists of workshops and presentations that address cultural identity, the school to prison pipeline, personal & professional development, financial literacy, post-secondary education, and so much more. King of Jewels also focuses on goal setting and future planning, including an educational field trip centered on career exploration, team-building, and developing communication skills. To conclude this conference, the Kings in attendance have the opportunity to engage in a series of networking activities and showcase what they’ve learned during a culminating banquet that also involves their parents and/or guardians.

Dates: July 27 - July 29, 2023

Critical Mentorship Program (KOJ CaMP)

  • 12 month program that connects young men with peers and community leaders who can help provide a network of support, encouragement and a lifetime of jewels!

  • Mentees participate in group and individual mentoring activities

  • Activities range from academic support, professional sporting events, community service activities, transformative discussions and so much more!

  • Mentees will improve leadership skills, communication skills, and develop a network of support that encourages them to be their best.

  • Participants will also have the opportunity to apply for King of Jewels internship opportunities in - Business Marketing, Programming/Event Planning, and Executive Administration

Professional Development Training

  • Our team provides professional development training for youth, professionals and families. Our workshop topics include, but are not limited to:
